Wanting to get rid of something
This is such a common reaction to something we don't want. If we have a headache or we are angry, usually the reaction is to want it to go away. This is completely understandable. The only thing is, wanting to get rid of something gives it energy. Giving it energy helps it to "grow" which is the last thing we want!
Imagine for a moment that the thing you want to get rid of is there for a reason. It's your body (you) sending you a message and wanting you to listen. If a friend rang you with a problem and needed your help, what would be your first reaction? To help and listen most likely. Yet we seem to find it so hard to be a friend to ourselves when we most need it.
What you resist persists. Put the law of least effort (or non resistance as it is sometimes called) into practice and see how much easier your life will flow. And if you have resistance to what I am saying, tap on it!!

Feel the fear ... and do it anyway
"Too many of us seem to be searching for something "out there" to make our lives complete. We feel alienated, lonely and empty. No matter what we do or have, we never feel full-filled. This feeling of emptiness or intense loneliness is our clue that we are off course, and that we need to correct our direction. Often we think that the correction lies in a new mate, house, car, job, or whatever. Not so.Try tapping on the statement "I am searching the world for treasure, but the real treasure is myself". How do you feel when you say that? Try saying it in front of a mirror and look into your own eyes as you say it. Tap on everything and anything that comes up, until this statement feels true.
I believe that what all of us are really searching for is this divine essence within ourselves. When we are far from our Higher Self, we feel what Roberto Assagioli has so aptly called "Divine Homesickness". When you are feeling this sense of being lost, or off course, the thing to do to find your way home again is simply to use the tools that will align you with your Higher Self - and thus to allow the good feelings to flow once again." ~ Susan Jeffers Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway

What is Ama?
Excerpted from http://chopra.com
Ama is a sticky, toxic residue created from undigested food particles and other waste materials when our digestive powers are weak. In Ayurveda, the accumulation of ama in our cells and tissues is considered the underlying cause of disease and illness. Ama clogs the body's circulation channels, preventing the healthy flow of energy and information throughout the system. Ama can manifest in a variety of ways. For example, you may experience a build-up of mucus that restricts the airflow through your nasal passages. Or ama may accumulate as plaque in your arteries, reducing blood flow and increasing the risk of heart attack.Accept the signals of your body
Symptoms of ama include loss of appetite, indigestion, tongue-coating, bad breath, fatigue, depression, inability to concentrate, susceptibility to infections, and generalized pain.
Signs of Ama
Bad breath
Coated tongue
Dull appetite
Delicate digestion
Sluggish or irritable elimination
Generalized pain
Fatigue
Depression
Susceptibility to infections
Difficulty manifesting intentions
Feel all of your body’s sensations. Whereas the mind lives in the past and the future, the body resides in the now and never doubts itself. It knows the truth and will guide you toward the most evolutionary choices.

Agni: The digestive fire of life
Source: http://chopra.com
Agni or the “digestive fire,” is one of the most important principles in the ancient science of Ayurveda. It refers broadly to our ability to process all aspects of life, including food, experiences, memories and sensory impressions. Agni is responsible for absorbing the nutrients and essential elements the body needs while burning off waste products (agni is the root of the English word “ignite”).
If our agni is strong, we’re able to digest food efficiently and easily assimilate our daily experiences. On the other hand, if agni is weak, our body won’t digest well, creating toxic residue or ama that lodges deep in our cells.
According to Ayurvedic teaching, strong agni leads to excellent health and well-being, while the accumulation of ama results in the slow deterioration of the body and—ultimately—disease. The inability to metabolize emotions produces just as much toxic residue as undigested food. In fact, pent-up anger, long-held sadness and lingering guilt are more debilitating for most people than problems with physical digestion.
I have been interested and studying Ayurveda for nearly 20 years. I know from personal experience that undigested feelings, as well as undigested food, lead to dis-ease. Angers, sadness, guilt and shame lead to generalised anxiety, chronic stress, depression and physical conditions to name a few. Unless these causes are dealt with, processed and felt, they will lead to dis-ease physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. EFT is an excellent effective technique for dealing with the underlying causes of dis-ease.

Resisting your good
I am going to talk about resistance again because it's a big one. When you are not doing what you want to do and don't have what you want, you can be sure there is resistance. Resistance to believing and embodying who you are at your core; creative, loving, beautiful, kind, expansive, receptive and abundant.
In fact, as you read those words, what came up? A quiet acceptance of the truth or judgements and criticisms? Who would be upset if you believed you were these seven faces of intention? You? Someone else? Is there a downside to believing any of these things? Are you resisting taking responsibility for your beliefs? Are you blaming?
Keep tapping on any resistance to your good, whatever form it takes.

"A goodness allergy is grounded in fear. Fear that you will get hurt. Fear that you will lose what you have. Fear that you don't deserve good. You are in fear that if you open your heart and mind to receive good, you will have nothing to whine and complain about. There will be nothing wrong. At the heart of a goodness allergy is the fear that if nothing is wrong, then you too must be all right. And that would be too good to believe" ~ Iyanla Vanzant

What you resist persists
I know this sounds like a cliché but it is actually a natural law. When you stop resisting, let go and allow, you can release an enormous amount of energy that is holding that resistance (or block) in place. It is like trying to hold a huge beach ball under water all the time, it's exhausting. You can free up that energy for the things that you want and not what you don't want or are resisting. And what we usually resist is pain, or feeling our pain. We don't want to feel pain, just because it's so painful. But the more you resist feeling pain, the more pain your body and mind have to take on, but they can only carry so much. The pain eventually starts to leak in the form of symptoms. Chronic health issues nearly always have buried unfelt pain behind them.
As Eckhart Tolle says, "when we've suffered enough we'll be ready to surrender, to let go and to stop resisting what is."
Most of us might be ready to start allowing our pain to surface, and stop fighting it, when we're metaphorically on our knees (if not literally) or when we've reached "rock bottom".
Author Iyanla Vanzant writes in One Day My Soul Just Opened Up "When we surrender, we mentally let go to the end, through the thing that we fear, which in effect releases fear thoughts from the mind. It helps you realise that no matter what happens, you will be able to handle it. Surrender helps you to become willing to live through the experience, without giving your entire life over to it".
You can try the following set up phrases to help you:
"Even though I am afraid to let go of ...., I deeply and completely love and accept myself and I choose to surrender this ...".
"Even though I am unwilling to let go as I won't be in control anymore, I choose to be open to surrendering".
"Even though I am afraid of what will come up if I do let go, I choose to feel safe and to be there for me, I am okay and completely safe".
Tap on however you are feeling, you can have a conversation with yourself while you are tapping the karate chop or sore point to correct for psychological reversal, it doesn't have to be just one word. Sometimes we can't sum up how we feel in one word. Be completely honest about how you are feeling, your body will know if you are not being honest and will give you signs to show that (for example there will be no shift). When you hit the jackpot, you will feel enormous relief, (yawns, sighs, belches, burps, laughter, tears etc) this is your body thanking you for listening and for releasing that energy blockage that it has been holding for you until you were ready to release it. German new medicine
Excerpt from Dr. med. Ryke Geerd Hamer's website, created for the common good by Caroline Markolin, Ph.D http://germannewmedicine.com/
Dr. Hamer’s research began in 1979 after the tragic loss of his son Dirk (see Biography). Shortly after Dirk’s death, Dr. Hamer was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Since he had never been seriously ill, he assumed that the development of his cancer could be directly related to the traumatic event he had experienced. At that time Dr. Hamer was head internist of a cancer clinic at the University of Munich, Germany. There he began to systematically study his patients regarding the causes, development and healing process of their cancers. What he discovered was revolutionary!
Dr. Hamer found that every DISEASE originates from an unexpected shock experience. He established that such a sudden shock affects not only the psyche, but impacts at the same time (visible on a brain scan) the part of the brain that corresponds biologically to the specific trauma. Whether the body responds to the unexpected event with a tumor growth (cancer), with tissue degeneration, or with functional loss, is determined by the exact type of conflict shock. So far, Dr. Hamer has been able to confirm these discoveries with over 40,000 case studies. Since HEALING can only occur after the conflict has been resolved, German New Medicine therapy focuses on identifying and resolving the original shock.

The Solar Plexus and the Moon
This is a simple and beautiful 5 minute self healing exercise from Dr Shivani Goodman.
http://youheal.com/downloads/self_healing_exercise.mpg
The moon at 5pm, Dublin, Ireland on January 7th 2009.
The Solar Plexus: a dense cluster of nerve cells and supporting tissue, located behind the stomach in the region of the celiac artery just below the diaphragm. It is also known as the celiac plexus. Rich in ganglia and interconnected neurons, the solar plexus is the largest autonomic nerve center in the abdominal cavity. Through branches it controls many vital functions such as adrenal secretion and intestinal contraction. Popularly, the term “Solar Plexus” may refer to the pit of the stomach. - Columbia Encyclopaedia

Surrogate tapping
One of the most beautiful compensations of life is that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
Surrogate tapping is when you tap for another person as if you are that person. There are various reasons for doing this which I won't go into here. People often ask "Am I interfering?" or "Do I have their permission?". As Gary Craig says "do we ask the permission of people before we send them a loving or an angry thought"? Rarely!!
I think if your intentions (energies) are aligned with the seven faces of intention which are: Creativity, Kindness, Love, Beauty, Abundance, Expansion and Receptivity, you won't go far wrong. In other words, if you wish for that person what God wishes for them and let that be your intention you can let go of the results. Let them be what they will be. Gary Craig also calls this "getting out of the way". I love this quote from Meister Eckhart: Be as a clear glass through which God can shine.
I also am of the belief that surrogate tapping (that can be done physically or mentally) is a form of prayer for that person and for you. Because we are all connected, the beautiful compensation is we all benefit.
It is not the magnitude of our actions but the amount of love that is put into them that matters ~ Mother Teresa

The Thymus
The thymus is a gland found in the upper chest, behind the sternum. Its medical importance is in relation to its function in the immune system and the maturation of T cells there.
From an EFT point of view, tapping the thymus helps improve immune function and it also helps in the alleviation of stress (a big immune system depressor). Tapping the thymus area first thing in the morning to kick start your immune system is a great habit to get into.
I have heard some lovely things about the thymus in the last few days that I would like to share with you. I was listening to Dr Carol Robin's "Profound Paths to Health, Healing and Happiness" www.GuidedCds.com, and she was talking to a man named Andrew Ramer. He said something very interesting; that the thymus was a chakra. I never knew this. It is located between the heart and throat chakra and he referred to it as the "higher heart chakra" which I thought was a beautiful description. Another good reason to tap on it!
I was also listening to the "Big Book of You" teleseminar with Jennifer Mc Lean, www.healingrelease.com and a person on the call referred to the thymus as the "I am" point, a point through which we can embrace our heart, which again I thought lovely. Notice any theme or coincidence here?! I think the "I am" thymus point is directly related to what Andrew Ramer was saying about the thymus chakra being the "higher" heart. The essence of who we are. The word am has the sound "aahh" in it, which is the sound of God. Make a habit and ritual of tapping on your thymus every day.
