Dear Jane, it can be one of the most difficult things to do when we're in pain because our natural tendency is to move away but if we can pay attention and listen, even in the smallest of ways, our ability to release pain grows and grows, this has been my experience anyway. I also love the fact that just by observing, pain or anxiety or whatever it is, can shift, and the feeling of frustration and overwhelm that we have to do something or fix it can dissolve away.
