Can we let go of what we haven't assimilated?

We experience because we have the ability to feel ~ Antonio Damasio

How can we let go of what we haven't fully digested? Isn't it necessary to experience or absorb whatever it is so we can let go?

How do we do that?

Well, we can tap for the courage to feel what we don't want to feel or experience. We can tap for the frozen and suspended feelings and experiences that we just couldn't feel or process at the time they happened. Irish psychiatrist, Ivor Browne, calls these unassimilated or unexperienced experiences "the frozen present" or trauma. We can tap to allow that experience to move through us so we can digest it, and then let it go. This creates more room for other experiences so we don't feel so full up, so overwhelmed or feel as if we are about to break down. TIP, try tapping back and forth between your karate chop point (small intestine: absorbing/assimilating) and your index finger point (large intestine: letting go).

Even though this ... is frozen, I now allow it to move in, through and out

Even though I can't fully take in .... I'm tapping for the courage to allow it to move in, through and out

Even though I don't want to absorb this ... because ... I'm tapping to be able to allow it to move in, through and out

Even though this ... has not moved in a long time, I am now tapping to allow it to move in, through and out

The least movement is of importance to all nature. The entire ocean is affected by a pebble ~ Blaise Pascal

I Love your posts on tapping my Dearest Noreen....in a way it almost goes in parallel with "tapping" into Source...which is just that as well...enjoy and thanks for sharing this with me(+)
